Undergraduate
Higher Secondary Certificate
Students who have completed their Higher Secondary Certificate in India will be considered for direct entry into undergraduate Programme. The entry requirement will depend on the exam board in India and the subject you are planning to study at Royal Holloway. Normally the overall aggregate will be at least 75% - 80% for most boards, or 75 percent for West Bengal Board and 85 percent for South India Board.
Postgraduate
Masters Degree
Students who have successfully completed a Bachelor degree in an appropriate subject with good grades/GPA will be considered for entry to a Royal Holloway Master's degree program. The exact requirements will depend upon the program you are planning to study at Royal Holloway and the university you have studied at, but departments will usually require around 55% - 60% overall across all semesters.
- English test is not required if students studied at University in India or obtained Bachelors degree ** from a recognized university
If you are applying to study at Royal Holloway and your first language is not English, you are required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency. It accepts the internationally recognized English language qualifications IELTS, Pearson Test of English, Duolingo , and Cambridge ESOL.

- Pearson PTE 61 overall, reading 54 and writing 69 with no sub-score lower than 51
- TOEFL ibt: 88 overall with reading 22 ,listening 20, speaking 22 and writing 24
- Duolingo : Overall 115 and rest band score depends upon the chosen course
