University of Aberdeen is one of the most prestigious universities in Scotland as per public research. The university holds the rank among the world’s top universities. It has also secured 31st rank across the world under the 2019 impact rankings of Times Higher Education University.
University of Aberdeen was established in 1860 by a union of King’s College and Marischal College. The college has two campuses and King’s College has been dominating the old section of the university.  There is another campus of the university which is currently home to the School of Medicine and Dentistry and the School of Medical Sciences. One amongst the largest health campuses in Europe comprises the campus. The department of social sciences, arts, and physical sciences along with the university's main library can be located on the Old Aberdeen campus. The majority of subjects under medicine and life sciences are covered by the university's Foresterhill campus. One international campus is also maintained by the university in Doha, Qatar.

Undergraduate

Higher Secondary School Certificate is required. 

Arts: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall. An Approximate percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII is another requirement. 

Science: In XII standard minimum 75% is required overall, 75% in mathematics and science subject is required. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements

Biomedical sciences: In case of biomedical sciences 80% is required at minimum at XII standard. 80% or more is required in two other science subjects. Apart from all of these 80% is required in English.

Engineering: For engineering 75% is required overall and 75% or more is required in mathematics and physics. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements

Law: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 80% overall. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements

Postgraduate

Requirements will vary depending on recognition of University and scoring system used. As a guide, a score of between 60-80% is considered comparable to a UK 2.1, while a score of between 50-69% is considered comparable to a UK 2.2, depending on the ranking of the institution. Please note that in many cases applicants will not need to submit IELTS scores if they have achieved 80% or above in HSC Yr XII or if they have a letter from their former university demonstrating that their degree was taught in English.

If it is a conditional offer, that is accepted by you already then you will get an option to “apply online” below. Once you receive the Unconditional Offer for University of Aberdeen you will receive the invitation email to complete the application process for accommodation. If you are an undergraduate applicant and you have made Aberdeen your Insurance choice, you are not eligible to apply for accommodation at this time.  You should contact your Firm choice University regarding accommodation options.
In case of post graduate degree you will be eligible to apply for the accommodation only if you have received the Unconditional Offer. You will need your 8-digit ID in order to complete the application form. The 8-digit student ID will be sent to you with your joining papers.
