Undergraduate
For entry to Strathclyde undergraduate programmes 70-75% in all subjects taken at level XII and the same at level X. Marks should be particularly strong in the proposed area of study.
Postgraduate
For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognized Indian institution.
Although 60% is a general entry requirement , the marking system in some of the states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore it will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc. Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.
English Language Requirements

The university’s general entry requirements are IELTS - 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent.

Students with alternative English Language qualifications or who have lived and studied in a majority English-speaking country may not be required to take the IELTS test. Please contact the university for further guidance.

A waiver on 75% and above for UG & 70% and above for PG except Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and NIOS
- TOEFL (ibt): 72 overall, with the following minimum scores in each component: Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing: 17 ( (depends on Course))
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): 60 overall, with a minimum of 59 in each component
- Some courses even require 6.5. overall.
