Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a public university located in the UK city of Nottingham. With the motto ‘shaping futures’, NTU is one of the largest universities in the country, with more than 28,000 students. It has a diverse international community, with students from over 100 countries. Courses are spread over three campuses: one in the city centre, another four miles away in Clifton, and a third in the Brackenhurst countryside, about 14 miles out of town., overseen by nine different academic schools.

Key statistics

The university prides itself on its global outlook, with almost 7,000 of its students studying overseas at partner colleges and around 2,600 international students enrolled at its Nottingham sites Additionally, the university hosts a Global Week event each year that celebrates cultural diversity in a five day festival of food, music, dance, cinema and drama. NTU has invested more than £350m in its three campuses over the past decade. This includes £90m on the regeneration of two grade II listed buildings, Newton and Arkwright, which include a glazed centre court with walk-round balcony, cafes, deli-bars and student services at the heart of the City site. This development has won multiple awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
