The University has invested more than £260m on its award-winning campuses in recent years to further enhance the experience and support provided to students, and it remains committed to investment-led growth. The five-storey undergraduate and postgraduate teaching facility is popular with employers working in partnership with the award-winning university. Work has started on a brand new £20m flagship teaching building at the centre of the campus and a news landscaped 'campus heart'.
The university has 22,000 students and is given consistently good reviews in the annual national student survey. Students need a high level of English to write academic essays and reports, listen to lectures and take notes, summarize academic texts, give academic presentations and take part in discussions and seminars.

If a student's English language skills are not at the required level, the university has a range of courses that run before the start of the academic programme. You may be eligible for a scholarship of £1000 or £1500 in your first year of study if you are an international (non-European Union) student studying on a foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate programme. Scholarships are awarded to students with higher than average grades or English language ability.
