The University of Bradford is a public, plate glass university located in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. The university received its Royal Charter in 1966, making it the 40th university to be created in Britain, but its origins date back to the early 19th century. There are two campuses: the main campus located on Richmond Road and the School of Management, at Emm Lane.

It was the first British university to establish a Department of Peace Studies in 1973, which is currently the world's largest university centre for the study of peace and conflict. The division has a reputation as a centre of excellence in peace research, international relations, security studies, conflict resolution and development and peace studies. The University of Bradford was the first higher education institution in the UK to open a modern business school and the first outside London to offer part-time degrees.

Bradford is a great place to live and study. The University of Bradford Students' Union (UBU) is run for students by students to provide the vast majority of non-academic activities and support on campus. The city campus fosters a close-knit community and is a mix of innovative and sustainable new developments and green open space. For students studying management and law related subjects, the school of management parkland campus is just 25 minutes' walk or a free bus ride from the city campus, where historic buildings stand side-by-side with the latest state-of-the-art facilities.

The standard university requirement is IELTS 6.0 with no sub-test less than 5.0 (or equivalent). However, if students require a Tier 4 (student) visa to study they will need to meet the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) department's requirement which is currently IELTS 6.0 with no sub-test less than 5.5.

The University of Bradford has a range of English language courses students can enroll on before starting their academic course at the University of Bradford. The 40, 30 or 20-week programmes are designed to raise a student’s level of English by half an IELTS band, for example from 5.5 to 6.0. The courses also help prepare international students for life in the UK and at university, while providing an effective and enjoyable way to improve their English.

Our minimum entry requirements (equivalent to ABB at A level) are as follows:
UG: Standard XII (84-87%) Best of 4 academic subjects, to include any pre-requisite subjects at 70%
PG: 3, 4 or 5 year Bachelor degree from an approved Indian university. Grades range from 60% depending on the institution.
International students are guaranteed a place in The Green for their first year of study – this is the university’s purpose-built student village, awarded first prize for Best Student Housing at the prestigious College and University Business Officers (CUBO) Awards.
